Welcome to the debut of the Top 25 Rock Countdown! You may have seen some of our testing on Facebook back in August of last year, as we tried out the system to perfect it for this moment. So, from now on, true Rock fans will have a reliable countdown of good new rock music to keep up with, and stay informed of the newest songs coming out. Keep up with our website to stay ahead of the game!

Check out our rules page, that will feature everything you need to know about this chart, in terms of elligibility and other things we use to keep the chart fresh for you.

So here it is, our debut Top 25 Rock Countdown chart!

25. The Meetings Of the Waters - Fionn Regan
Video Link - https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=%23&ved=0ahUKEwiQxOidtprSAhVG44MKHRjVAuoQ8TUIKDAB&usg=AFQjCNF1sHlk2z9QIx28jtvfnGP_UlkifA&sig2=3qzfDQoG5SyXw-N6Y1ASoQFionn

Regan brings a fresh folk taste to out chart. So far, the biggest news surrounding this song is about the music video released to promote the song, starring Cillian Murphy and directed by Yousof Eldin. Regan's mix of calm and peaceful with edgy and creepy keep this song in the running for next weeks chart.

24. Hellfire - Barns Courtney
Video Link - https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=%23&ved=0ahUKEwiu2v3at5rSAhUp04MKHVWZDQUQwqsBCCMwAg&usg=AFQjCNF1sHlk2z9QIx28jtvfnGP_UlkifA&sig2=_IRTZSQyAeJe-cdjltcwow

With only 5 songs recorded to his name, 3 of them released as singles before his first EP, and Hellfire is soul-rousing. Singing about being ready to be punished in hell, Barns Courtney has rocked it out with his newest attempt placed into the Market.

23. Nerve - Calling All Captains
Video Link - https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=%23&ved=0ahUKEwiclMSjuZrSAhXExYMKHUUCAcYQwqsBCBwwAA&usg=AFQjCNF1sHlk2z9QIx28jtvfnGP_UlkifA&sig2=NwXuH7paacyA-Yd69fbTow

Calling All Captains are relatively new to the Global Scene, and haven't quite had that breakaway hit yet. Nerve could be it. The Edmonton-based band have gona as far as they could as a "local band", and are busting to get far into the global scene that they can. Nerve is much more refined and polished then the work on their previous couple EP's.

22. Young Blood - Noah Kahan
Video Link - https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=%23&ved=0ahUKEwiVi6zAuprSAhXp24MKHUm9C1IQwqsBCBwwAA&usg=AFQjCNF1sHlk2z9QIx28jtvfnGP_UlkifA&sig2=r0alDNelDhWwfPXgjz5jYg

With a sound very much like Hozier, Noah Kahan pops onto the scene as Joel Little, one of the key producers to Lorde's Pure Heroine album, found him for his catchy songwriting. Noah has a lot to offer to the Indie Rock world, and will probably continue to run catchy songs through the countdown for the next several months.

21. Agression - Palisades
Video Link - https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=%23&ved=0ahUKEwjkiK66u5rSAhXG5YMKHaMFDdIQwqsBCCswAg&usg=AFQjCNF1sHlk2z9QIx28jtvfnGP_UlkifA&sig2=xQNfiI8OvJWpCpxELF87cg

Palisades used this track to announce their new album release. This hardcore single has a scerene sound through the verses, before giving away to rage. It's a very catchy sound, and Aggression is easily one of the better Hardcore songs we will hear all year long.

20. Frantic Believer - New Language
Video Link - https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=%23&ved=0ahUKEwi_54zLvJrSAhUIxYMKHQ-3BnMQ8TUIKDAB&usg=AFQjCNF1sHlk2z9QIx28jtvfnGP_UlkifA&sig2=Is7xXaYsNohQNT7gk9QUvQ

New Language will turn some heads with an aggressive tune that will pierce the heart. “Frantic Believer is an exploration of the uncertainty surrounding death and how that relates to unsound beliefs while religions push the fear of the afterlife as a means to drive belief,” said singer Tyler Demorest.

NEW LISTEN - Happy Bring Miserable - New Found Glory
Video Link - https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=%23&ved=0ahUKEwjHzcHvvZrSAhWJ1IMKHU3XCUUQwqsBCDUwBg&usg=AFQjCNF1sHlk2z9QIx28jtvfnGP_UlkifA&sig2=4G0EUxzRxecqOay55RuBxQ

New Found Glory releases their first single for their upcoming album, Makes Me Sick, and this song is really great. Keeping a deep pop punk sound that is borderline classic All-Time Low, it's absolutely a brilliant song and will almost certainly be on this chart soon.

19. Feed The Machine - Nickelback
Video Link - https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=%23&ved=0ahUKEwjXsoSSvprSAhWnxYMKHeMvDLcQ8TUIKDAB&usg=AFQjCNF1sHlk2z9QIx28jtvfnGP_UlkifA&sig2=XjDDIZjN4z84YlD1kX3Xlg

Nickelback brings us a darker tune spinning on the track that we are not used to hearing from this band. After a very spotty and pop inspired album in 2014, Nickelback appears to be going deeper and darker with its roots, and it works perfectly.

18. Love Is Mystical - Cold War Kids
Video Link - https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=%23&ved=0ahUKEwizg6rwvprSAhVKllQKHan4Cp4Q8DUIKTAB&usg=AFQjCNF1sHlk2z9QIx28jtvfnGP_UlkifA&sig2=UVQt0d597qKNhZFrEUEYWg

Inspired by Richard Rohr's book Falling Upward, Cold War Kids brings us a look at their upcoming 6th album with a song about Supernatural love, a very uplifting and upbeat track. The indie rock works perfectly in this song.

17. Stars (The Shack Version) - Skillet
Video Link - https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=%23&ved=0ahUKEwjCxLnhv5rSAhUI1oMKHSpuD-sQwqsBCBwwAA&usg=AFQjCNF1sHlk2z9QIx28jtvfnGP_UlkifA&sig2=OWnqfJezYmxYatdaVfwwOA

Released as a part of The Shack soundtrack for the upcoming Lionsgate movie release in March, Skillet released a very nice accoustic song that is their best work thus far in that field of rock music. Skillet gives a pleasant and inspiring work about using the stars as a source of inspiration.

16. Hidden Knives - AFI
Video Link - https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=%23&ved=0ahUKEwiam6nQwJrSAhXBw1QKHRyxDIEQ8TUIKTAB&usg=AFQjCNF1sHlk2z9QIx28jtvfnGP_UlkifA&sig2=8VpVa8vTnsCp6jIyJ4i5wA

A very nice proggressive punk sound, AFI hits the nailbone with Hidden Knives, a song about hidden wounds that shouldn't be buried too deep.

15. Grey Goose - Carousel Kings
Video Link - https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=%23&ved=0ahUKEwi4mqPiwZrSAhXlqlQKHWtXBS4QwqsBCBwwAA&usg=AFQjCNF1sHlk2z9QIx28jtvfnGP_UlkifA&sig2=zQXk9zsrvWdH1oQOWIqFeQ

This is a spectacular effort of punk pop, and may find it's way to the #1 spot over the next few weeks on this chart. Carousel Kings hits the spot in terms of creating an upbeat punk pop song full of emotion. It's so good, and you need to listen to this song.

14. Citalopram (Better Off Without You) - Mallory Knox
Video Link - https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=%23&ved=0ahUKEwjL-f3CwprSAhWn0FQKHb2rDPwQwqsBCDgwBg&usg=AFQjCNF1sHlk2z9QIx28jtvfnGP_UlkifA&sig2=4t2mk47zJDIvxvGGKRAy6w

A rousing, drifting song that get's you feeling that depression and loss that Mallory Knox is singing about. It's perfectly relatable as the lyrics are about trying to move on from a woman he's stuck on.

NEW LISTEN - Help - Papa Roach
Video Link - https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=%23&ved=0ahUKEwivguvsxJrSAhXF7YMKHYhVCVwQwqsBCEwwDA&usg=AFQjCNF1sHlk2z9QIx28jtvfnGP_UlkifA&sig2=t-gv6kxeiLTGE7b5R5tAHQ

Papa Roach has unleased a new, catchy and powerful tune about a person calling for help with his life. A very powerful song and very relatable, Papa Roach has nailed a new hit that will be around for quite some time.

13. Had Enough - Lower Then Atlantis
Video Link - https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=%23&ved=0ahUKEwjrsKq-w5rSAhUHjlQKHSpsB1UQ8TUIKzAB&usg=AFQjCNF1sHlk2z9QIx28jtvfnGP_UlkifA&sig2=0tRHOBl3Ky02DqwkGfBSyg

Lower Then Atlantis brings another deep and dark hit that is strong as it is powerful. Had Enough will be on this list for quite some time ahead of us.

12. No Way Out - AS IT IS
Video Link - https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=%23&ved=0ahUKEwjw2fmGxJrSAhXGrFQKHfz8AvYQwqsBCCcwAQ&usg=AFQjCNF1sHlk2z9QIx28jtvfnGP_UlkifA&sig2=4_lzoe41H6l03iF8XHnJMA

A song about darkness and being stuck in difficult situations, AS IT IS knocks it out with a very strong pop punk song contemplating suicide. With a vulgar monolouge as the bridge, it may be a turnoff for some people, but it's strong.

11. So Close - Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness
Video Link - https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=%23&ved=0ahUKEwiJoLWpxZrSAhUP8YMKHVyCCJIQ8TUIGzAA&usg=AFQjCNF1sHlk2z9QIx28jtvfnGP_UlkifA&sig2=s40MFjYseP53QOTlklI6Ww

Andrew McMahon will be a staple in the Indie Rock genre for quite some time to come, but this song is really powerful and inspiring to listen to. Deep with a lot of good changes in the tune to structure the song perfectly.

10. Castle On The Hill - Ed Sheeran
Video Link - https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=%23&ved=0ahUKEwj0z4SFxprSAhWp44MKHQIMCE0Q8TUIKTAB&usg=AFQjCNF1sHlk2z9QIx28jtvfnGP_UlkifA&sig2=7uxkZQoI0gmtwt71iTch9w

Everyone knows Shape Of You, the other single Sheeran released at the same time as he released this one, but this one has a more distinct rock/ballad sound about his days growing up in England. It's already gone Platinum in America.

9. Work Shoes - USS
Video Link - https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=%23&ved=0ahUKEwis9ZjtxprSAhXnlVQKHS1JC9UQ8TUIKTAB&usg=AFQjCNF1sHlk2z9QIx28jtvfnGP_UlkifA&sig2=JzmcwoouwVw5ckdkNAKAXg

Work Shoes is a great work of art, combining rock, indie and hip hop to create this track, and it's brilliant. Confusing, uplifting and inspiring all at the same time and it's about taking off shoes and sitting down on a couch at home.

8. Show Yourself - Mastadon
Video Link - https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=%23&ved=0ahUKEwjIkcHPx5rSAhUk0oMKHdNLBzsQ8TUIKjAB&usg=AFQjCNF1sHlk2z9QIx28jtvfnGP_UlkifA&sig2=Xu7sxXXFrz8hZ8RHvfF0_g

Mastadon brings us a great metal track to listen to, the highest one you will see on this chart. The brilliance of this song lies in the fact that Mastadon keeps it deep and dark without loosing the high speed of the song. It's powerful.

7. Loser - Falling In Reverse
Video Link - https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=%23&ved=0ahUKEwi--OWByJrSAhUG34MKHcMfCUsQwqsBCCswAg&usg=AFQjCNF1sHlk2z9QIx28jtvfnGP_UlkifA&sig2=QabW9N-lTwKW1oDJpeBAaQ

Falling In Reverse dropped his track the same time they dropped Coming Home but this one is more of a punch into the gut. It is emotional, and you feel that sinking feeling that Falling In Reverse is referring to and singing about as you listen to the song.

6. Mad Love - Bush
Video Link - https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=%23&ved=0ahUKEwjS8oHKyJrSAhWpzIMKHSitAoEQwqsBCBwwAA&usg=AFQjCNF1sHlk2z9QIx28jtvfnGP_UlkifA&sig2=qOT7KGVjDokTeNgcXH_j8Q

Bush is about to bring us some great music. You can tell because this song is so deep, so passionate, and beautiful. It's about a guy who has been away from his girl for some time, and he's confessing he's still madly in love with her. If you're in this boat, you might not want to listen nto this song. You will feel it.

NEW LISTEN - Nimble Bastard - Incubus
Video Link - https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=%23&ved=0ahUKEwjo4P-VyprSAhVH64MKHSTdAD4Q8TUIGzAA&usg=AFQjCNF1sHlk2z9QIx28jtvfnGP_UlkifA&sig2=jG1aYsBHXV7cy6AZWAdmgg

Nimble Bastard is a near perfect effort and announcement to us that Incubus could be the Comeback Artist of the Year if they release more music like this. It's upbeat, uptempo, and it's surprisingly catchy, even more so then Drive.

5. American Girls - ONE OK ROCK
Video Link - https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=%23&ved=0ahUKEwjl05qZyZrSAhVK1oMKHVOyBKUQ8DUIKjAB&usg=AFQjCNF1sHlk2z9QIx28jtvfnGP_UlkifA&sig2=q-jn-kmFsvrCinNcJIZ5qA

Upbeat and bright pop punk from the Japanese Punk Pop group, American Girls was only released on the American album release. It's a very strong effort from ONE OK ROCK, and it just may find it's way into the Hall Of Hits in the near future.

4. Monster - Starset
Video Link - https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=%23&ved=0ahUKEwic8oSzyprSAhVG2IMKHXt7B9EQwqsBCBwwAA&usg=AFQjCNF1sHlk2z9QIx28jtvfnGP_UlkifA&sig2=rgLaUMLvsY9Bwp-OeFecAQ

Starset knocks it out with this roaring single from their new album released about a month ago. Monster is deep, dark, heavy, yet somehow hopeful. The lyrics are powerfully depressing, but it's full of the scientific sounds Starset folds into their music. You're left awed and inspired by this song.

3. Dead End In Tokyo - MAN WITH A MISSION
Video Link - https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=%23&ved=0ahUKEwjA4_79yprSAhVH0YMKHYSLBgUQ8TUIKDAB&usg=AFQjCNF1sHlk2z9QIx28jtvfnGP_UlkifA&sig2=hw3CMU8Pvxz9uoTrDMeuDg

MAN WITH A MISSION gives us a head-banging hit full of nonsestical lyrics but a tune, beat and instrumental mix that cannot be missed. There are clear Panic! At The Disco inspiration, and a lot of Patrick Stump's influence.

2. Warpaint - Natives
Video Link - https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=%23&ved=0ahUKEwjagJXJy5rSAhUI_4MKHamZAXoQwqsBCFEwCw&usg=AFQjCNF1sHlk2z9QIx28jtvfnGP_UlkifA&sig2=vnBTfYiLXrs6-G1n8-IXvw

Inspired by tribal drums, Natives gives us a song composed of several different beats that create a strong instrumental that is full of Native American influence, and an overall very strong song that is inspiring and mesmerizing.

1. Believer - Imagine Dragons
Video Link - https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=%23&ved=0ahUKEwjXkJ2GzJrSAhXM44MKHXnJAyoQ8TUIKDAB&usg=AFQjCNF1sHlk2z9QIx28jtvfnGP_UlkifA&sig2=ZMHx8ywuB0j6evh-TNfm5g

Imagine Dragons has hit the nail on the bone yet again with another rousing and powerful Indie anthem that they have grown known for producing on a constistant basis. It's another good strong song about building yourself to be a strong person through believing. It's a fitting song to be the first hit into the Hall Of Hits.

Upcoming Albums in 2017

Here is our Top 10 Picks for the albums we are most looking forward to hearing in 2017! Add your opinion below!

10. The Offspring - TBA - 2017
This album has been in the works now for quite some time, as the band annonced they were working on it in December of 2015. However, with the World Tour over and the frontman Dexter Holland having been made a father, the band is going back to work and expects a 2017 release.

Arguably one of the best Punk bands of the 2000's, The Offspring took off with their hit's You're Gonna Go Far, Kid; The Kid's Aren't Alright, Self Esteem, and Why Don't You Get A Job. Using relatable content to anyone in the "Under-class", The Offspring have one of the best sounds in all of punk rock music.

9. Cold War Kids - L.A. Divine - 04/07
Cold War Kids has brought us some good music over the past several years, with songs like First, Hang Me Up To Dry and Miracle Mile. With a slow, passionate style, Cold War Kids have made quite the impact in the alternative rock and indie rock genres.

With the recent release of Love Is Mystical, Cold War Kids have vamped their anticipation for their new album, and certainly hope to blow everyone's minds.

8. The Killers - TBA - TBA
The Killers broke out onto the Scene back in 2004 with their global hit Somebody Told Me. Their latest album tended to be more of an 80's influence then a punk pop sound, which fit the band well, but not many songs were well received off of it. However, it's still exciting to see what they will do with this one.

7. Stone Sour - Hydroglad - TBA
The band that brought us Looking Through The Glass, a mesmerizing account of a man looking into his past, prepare to bring us more. Their last few albums haven't been too successful so if anyone is primed to make a comeback, it's Stone Sour.

6. Jack Johnson - TBA - TBA
Jack Johnson has brought us so much great accoustic work over the past several years, it's hard not to look forward to this release. With soft, deliberate vocals and uplifting lyrics, Johnson is easily one of the most talented singer/songwriters today.

5. Depeche Mode - Spirit - 03/17
Depeche Mode has brought us some of the best rock music of the past 35 years, and now a new effort is breaking out. Their last album was considered the best in rock and pop in Germany, but wasn't too well received anywhere else. It's hard not to anticipate the release of a megastar group like Depeche Mode.

4. Bruce Springsteen - TBA - TBA
Well past his Glory Days, Bruce Springsteen still has the songwriting talent he has always showcased on a National Stage, even earning himself a Super Bowl Performance a few years ago. Springsteen still has a knack for releasing good music, and we hope that he does not dissapoint.

3. New Found Glory - Makes Me Sick - 4/28
Once Punk Pop Gods, now they are just your every day punk rock band with a glimmer of their past still present in their music. Their last album, Ressurection: Ascention had a great collaberation with Paramore's Hayley Williams, and that provides enough hope that maybe New Found Glory will be this years Blink 182.

2. Falling In Reverse - Coming Home - 04/07
Falling In Reverse has released a couple great singles already for this upcoming album, including the title track, Coming Home, and they really show a lot of promise for deep, detailed music that people of all genres will enjoy.

1. U2 - Songs Of Experience - TBA
U2 still puts out great music on every album they release, and this should be no exception to that rule. U2's style has inspired many modern artists with their intricate guitar work, simplicity, and unforgettable songs of hope, despair and desperation. U2's Bono is still writing the hits, and he's working with the right people to keep the band going in the right way.

First Top Song List of 2017!

2017 is bringing a dynamic mix to the rock world this year, and an exciting year ahead appears to be in order. With a lot of new faces and unfamiliar names so far this year taking up the forefront, it makes us wonder what exciting hits the legends of yesteryear will have coming for us.

Grunge Rock Heavyweight Nickelback has a new album underway, and a very promising single, Feed The Machine, has been released for it, displaying a darker and heavier tone then Nickelback has ever gone before.

Bush has also released a single recently, Mad Love, that shows a lot of promise for whatever they have coming for us too.

The Imagine Dragons continue to roll out their mainstream Top 40 hits, while Falling In Reverse looks very promising themselves.
ONE OK ROCK is quickly becoming a household name
after releasing Ambitions.

Before we present the complete list of songs on our chart, here are the songs being considered, listed with odds, for the debut #1 hit this year, and the first entry into the 2017 Hall of Hits.

Once you know this song, how do you not sing along? It's another crowd pleasing anthem that the Imagine Dragons have become known for pumping out. The lyrics are mesmerizing, and the subtile mix of power and simplicity is enough to hook just about anyone.

Dead End In Tokyo - MAN WITH A MISSION - 4 to 1

MAN WITH A MISSION has been inspired by the genre and success of Panic! At The Disco, and enlisted the help of Fall Out Boy leadman Patrick Stump to get this song out. It's evident that it has the makings to be a huge hit across the globe, with a slight punk pop sound to it's pop rock core.

American Girls - ONE OK ROCK - 7 to 1
An American release only, ONE OK ROCK hit it out of the ballpark with this track, providing an upbeat song about American Girls. It's helped propell the ONE OK ROCK into the top rock album's on Billboard.

Monster - Starset - 13 to 1

Already turning into a Global Megahit, Starset has changed from the metal core they started their careers with to adapt to a more pop sound with their heavy guitars and symphony metal. Normally, this sound just doesn't work, but Starset uses their alternative style to make it work and sound great with a great buildup and a roller-coaster song.

Warpaint - Natives - 25 to 1

Natives pulls off a truly good pop rock sound to create a beautiful song with multiple rythems and positive, uplifting lyrics. Inspired by tribal drumbeats, Natives put together a perfect blend of instrumentation and tribal type vocals making it sound deep and inspiring.
