Here is our Top 10 Picks for the albums we are most looking forward to hearing in 2017! Add your opinion below!
10. The Offspring - TBA - 2017
This album has been in the works now for quite some time, as the band annonced they were working on it in December of 2015. However, with the World Tour over and the frontman Dexter Holland having been made a father, the band is going back to work and expects a 2017 release.
Arguably one of the best Punk bands of the 2000's, The Offspring took off with their hit's You're Gonna Go Far, Kid; The Kid's Aren't Alright, Self Esteem, and Why Don't You Get A Job. Using relatable content to anyone in the "Under-class", The Offspring have one of the best sounds in all of punk rock music.
9. Cold War Kids - L.A. Divine - 04/07
Cold War Kids has brought us some good music over the past several years, with songs like First, Hang Me Up To Dry and Miracle Mile. With a slow, passionate style, Cold War Kids have made quite the impact in the alternative rock and indie rock genres.
With the recent release of Love Is Mystical, Cold War Kids have vamped their anticipation for their new album, and certainly hope to blow everyone's minds.
8. The Killers - TBA - TBA
The Killers broke out onto the Scene back in 2004 with their global hit Somebody Told Me. Their latest album tended to be more of an 80's influence then a punk pop sound, which fit the band well, but not many songs were well received off of it. However, it's still exciting to see what they will do with this one.
7. Stone Sour - Hydroglad - TBA
The band that brought us Looking Through The Glass, a mesmerizing account of a man looking into his past, prepare to bring us more. Their last few albums haven't been too successful so if anyone is primed to make a comeback, it's Stone Sour.
6. Jack Johnson - TBA - TBA
Jack Johnson has brought us so much great accoustic work over the past several years, it's hard not to look forward to this release. With soft, deliberate vocals and uplifting lyrics, Johnson is easily one of the most talented singer/songwriters today.
5. Depeche Mode - Spirit - 03/17
Depeche Mode has brought us some of the best rock music of the past 35 years, and now a new effort is breaking out. Their last album was considered the best in rock and pop in Germany, but wasn't too well received anywhere else. It's hard not to anticipate the release of a megastar group like Depeche Mode.
4. Bruce Springsteen - TBA - TBA
Well past his Glory Days, Bruce Springsteen still has the songwriting talent he has always showcased on a National Stage, even earning himself a Super Bowl Performance a few years ago. Springsteen still has a knack for releasing good music, and we hope that he does not dissapoint.
3. New Found Glory - Makes Me Sick - 4/28
Once Punk Pop Gods, now they are just your every day punk rock band with a glimmer of their past still present in their music. Their last album, Ressurection: Ascention had a great collaberation with Paramore's Hayley Williams, and that provides enough hope that maybe New Found Glory will be this years Blink 182.
2. Falling In Reverse - Coming Home - 04/07
Falling In Reverse has released a couple great singles already for this upcoming album, including the title track, Coming Home, and they really show a lot of promise for deep, detailed music that people of all genres will enjoy.
1. U2 - Songs Of Experience - TBA
U2 still puts out great music on every album they release, and this should be no exception to that rule. U2's style has inspired many modern artists with their intricate guitar work, simplicity, and unforgettable songs of hope, despair and desperation. U2's Bono is still writing the hits, and he's working with the right people to keep the band going in the right way.
